There Is No Time Like Now To
Become A Part Of Our Winning Team!

The SpeeDee
story begins in December 1980 when the first SpeeDee Oil Change location
was opened in Metairie, Louisiana, a suburb of New Orleans. At that time,
the number of Automotive Service Centers was declining as more and more
"corner gas stations" went the way of self-serve mini-marts.
SpeeDee's goal was to answer the increasing need for oil change services
during a decline in service locations.
For the
next two years the SpeeDee concept was refined and developed by its founders,
Gary Copp and Kevin Bennett. In 1982, more services were added and the
Company became SpeeDee Oil Change & Tune-Up.
Shortly thereafter, they began offering franchises. In 1994, SpeeDee added
complete brake repair to round out its service menu. Now, each SpeeDee
center can truly be called a full Automotive Service Center offering a
full range of preventive and corrective maintenance services including
17 point oil changes, fluid service, tune-ups and engine maintenance,
air conditioning service, and complete brake service are
also available at most locations. State inspection service as applicable.
Over the next 23 years the SpeeDee concept of offering great customer
service and a full range of services has grown to our 160+ centers in
the U.S. and Mexico.

Training
At SpeeDee, we realize
that no matter how well intentioned and ambitious you may be to become
the most successful SpeeDee operator, you cannot do it without the proper
training. Your training starts long before you open the doors of your
service center and continues through the life of your franchise.
The SpeeDee
initial training program is designed to give you the tools and knowledge
to enable you to get off to the right start. We realize that your growth
as a Franchisee within the SpeeDee system will only be enhanced by the
value and quality of the training you receive, both initially and as part
of our ongoing support.
The SpeeDee
training for new Franchise operators lasts up to two weeks and consists
of a combination of classroom sessions at our Corporate and/or Regional
Headquarters, interspersed with “in center” practical training
in a nearby service center.
Marketing
One of the most important benefits you will enjoy as a SpeeDee Franchisee
is a multi-faceted advertising and marketing support program. Each element
of the program is designed to help generate the maximum “top of
mind” awareness, with the goal of increasing the number of cars
coming into the location and creating a greater sales response from every
customer.
Aggressive
marketing will give your SpeeDee center added momentum. That's why we
provide you with just the right marketing tools and show you how to use
them effectively. The Director of Marketing and Advertising has developed
a series of programs, which form a system to help each Franchisee identify
